Dada Ditties is streaming now!

Featuring kid favorites like “The Wheels on the Bus” and “ABCs” as well as original soon-to-be staples like “Show Your Poopy Butt to the World” and “Where is My Sweatshirt?” These ditties are me processing the new dada experience in real time, one sleep-deprived voice memo at a time. They kept us laughing and singing during the first couple years of Marvin’s life and I hope they can do the same for other families out there.

This is the first recording project I’ve made that really feels like it was made for the medium of streaming. These ditties are mostly short (like under a minute) and certainly plentiful (there are twenty-seven). You are encouraged to skip around, save your favorites to a playlist, and please share with all the dadas and mamas out there.

And it just so happens that this album is coming out on Bandcamp Friday (November 6th) during which Bandcamp waives its revenue share for an entire 24 hours so every dollar earned goes directly to the artists. If you want to own these ditties, you can consider doing it over there please and thank you!

If you are in San Francisco, I’m doing a release show at the Mercury Cafe (Page & Octavia) on Saturday, November 7th at 4:30pm (after nap)! Kids get in free, I’ll play through the whole album, and then my friends from Sacramento, Be Brave Bold Robot, will play. Fun!

If you want to know a lot more about the creation of this album and hear me talk about it for too long, the most recent Audiode (97) is the audio liner notes.

And please do enjoy these dada ditties. I hope they make you smile and laugh and feel. And if the parenthood journey is not for you, you can skip it entirely or marvel at the insanity you are avoiding and find gratitude in your calm and quiet mornings.
